I organized my umbrellas – tightening the straps, reinserting each into its plastic sleeve – and discovered three which were non-functioning. 
These I threw out.

Fuck You, Umbrella
The precursor to Hurricane Joaquin washed through New York last night and left a trail of decimated umbrellas in its wake.
Commonly referred to as “New York Specials”, these poorly constructed bumbershoots rarely last beyond an hour or so.
