A few ‘g’ words from the Newfoundlander dictionary:

Gallnippers (n): Mosquitoes.

Gatcher (n): One who swaggers.Gommel (n): A simpleton.

Griny (n): Dirty

Gulching (v): Having sex outdoors. 

And so…The griny gatcher was more of a gommel as he swiped at the galnippers instead of gulching like he’d planned.
